Program Proposal for the American Nurses Association
The compulsion for health facilities is predicted to grow as the country grows. Nursing services will be in growing demand since there will be a growing call for medical services. The prevailing nursing services deficit in the United States and the expected increasing demand for nurses as the population grows can only be addressed by successful policies that improve professional nursing financing. As a result, specialized groups and nurses associations may play vital roles in political campaigning. American Nurses Association will, in this proposal, promote policies that fund nursing practice and with a special focus, nursing training.
Need For Assessment
Nursing services demand in the United States has increased dramatically as the population increases, and this trend is set to continue. As the country’s population increases, medical needs increase dramatically daily (Nogueira et al., 2017). As the need for healthcare rises as the population increases, a robust and trained nurse will be required to meet the demand. As a result, policies encouraging education and training for nurses’ progression must be appropriated (Cherniss, 2017). Establishing a nursing education program would increase nursing scholarships, open up additional financial options for eligible students concerned with becoming nurses, and give diversity scholarships. Having such provisions as a country would ensure that there are skilled nurses to counter the growing need for health care and meet the needs of the growing population.

Supporting Research
Whereas the State is anticipated to give administrative and institutional framework assistance, professional organizations’ self-regulatory norms and advocacy actions must integrate the field with societal development requirements (Salmond & Echevarria, 2017). Activism has been identified as a necessary element of the global health revolution and a method for closing the development gaps, with scientific data and policy suggestions to back it up. To meet the growing demands for nurses, greater efforts must encourage education and professional advancement for people wanting to pursue nursing jobs (Cherniss, 2017). The primary causes for increasing demands for nurses will be an increasing population and an increased workload.
Nurses must have enough training and expertise corresponding with their role’s responsibilities since flaws in the study protocol and improper data presentation can result in skewed assessments of treatment effects (Nogueira et al., 2017). Nurses must have enough skills and experience corresponding with their role’s responsibilities since flaws in trial design and improper presentation of data can lead to skewed assessments of treatment efficacy(Reith, 2018). However, there is also another solution for increasing nurse knowledge and participation. Indeed, nursing is becoming a more vital aspect of the healthcare system with each new decade, to the point that a society without a substantial number of nurses is unthinkable.
Goals and Objectives
The following are goals and objectives aimed at by this program proposal :
- Integrate educational programs and modules with the upcoming health workforce needs; adopt a curriculum evaluation process to guarantee continual quality enhancement.
- Create high-quality training programs that equip nurse practitioners for leading in a globalized, evolving, and multi-cultural health system.
- The provision of organized assistance for a nursing career encourages continuous professional growth and seeking additional education.
- Promote ongoing professional progress and the pursuit of extra training, as demonstrated by the availability of structured aid for nursing careers.
Governance Structure
The program will be facilitated by American Nurses Association (ANA). ANA is governed by a house of delegates and a board of directors. The members of the house of delegates are house representatives who come from a constituency association. This component of the management is important since it is related to politics, and one of the roles of ANA is the pursuit of policy interests through congressional lobbying and in the federal government. In addition, ANA has a leadership council that “deliberates, strategizes, and advises on professional issues and organizational matters” (ANA, 2022, par.5). Notably, all members of the governing and official voters for the body make the membership assembly, which has their standing committees.
Membership
ANA membership requires that one be a registered nurse (RN), with an active unencumbered in at least one State, territory, or possession of the US, or recently qualified in an RN qualifying licensure exam within six months. Therefore, ANA members are all qualified and at least RNs in professional nursing categories. The association is currently serving throughout the US, with over four million registered members (ANA, 2022). The reason for membership is to provide an access portal to professional development opportunities and support. One of the opportunities is access to a broad range of educational materials and more affordable education for continuing students.
Proposal Summary
The view that a growing population in need of nursing services helps the nursing leader better comprehend intergenerational disparities. The nation needs an increase in the number of nurses and other medical associations to address the increasing need for medical care. This proposal supports that the nursing profession should be exciting and affordable to attract more students, and ultimately more nursing professionals. Since ANA is a lobbying organization, it should secure education funds for nurses to make nursing professionals affordable. It should also focus more on systemic barriers that hinder effective nursing practice, such as job safety, workplace violence, and mandatory overtime. Capitalizing on each member of ANA can help build a strong community of nurses and optimize their abilities to ensure safe, high-quality healthcare cooperatively. Within the next ten years, many nurses will retire, while others will remain actively engaged in the field and acquire leadership responsibilities. Our collective awareness of health services demands can promote collaboration within the healthcare department.
