In the total quality management (TQM), the supply chain environment’s significance is essential in making supply chains sustainable. Corporations are experiencing challenges with green practices, some of which are expensive to adopt and sustain. The blockchain technology has been evaluated to help the global government and community create sustainable supply chains (Saberi et al., 2018). Blockchain technology involves a distributed database of records and private/public ledgers shared in a digital environment. The tech system is decentralized, has high audibility, and is secure.

Article Summary

In the “Internet of things and supply chain management: a literature review” by Ben-Daya, Hassini, & Bahroun (2017), the role of the internet of things and its impact on supply chain management are explored. The article covers different processes and definitions of applications that facilitate effective supply chain management. In the conceptualization of the impact, analytical and empirical study models are used to evaluate data. Most of the studies investigated focused on supply chain processes for the food manufacturing industry from the findings. However, the study found that global supply chains are essential in all sectors. More research is needed in other sectors of the economy dependent on global supply chains. Additionally, 1^st Corinthians 14:40 dictates that all things should be done decently and in order, which means that all logistical planning should be strategic. Therefore, these laws should be applied to deliver better services in the global supply chain.

In the modern business environment, supply chain management has been applied to reduce manufacturing costs and budgets worldwide. Also, it has enabled organizations to optimize their management to efficiency. As manufacturing activities move closer to the source of raw materials, global markets realize the economic value and competitive advantage in organizations. With the increased use of technology, these processes have only become simpler. Therefore, most businesses have witnessed the abolishment of barriers that hindered global trade, where businesses can source their goods from different parts of the world.
